The Drifthaven at Gearhart

The thing that really made this place outstanding was the customer service and staff. A gentleman by the name of Heath, self proclaimed grounds keeper, did everything to go above and beyond to make my family comfortable. We got into town when it was pouring rain and he assisted us to our cottage. Throughout our stay he provided numerous recommendations in regards to the surrounding areas whether it be food, sites, or attractions. He even went out of his way to prepare a fire for my son in the community fire pit. If you stop by: the cottages are lovely but the people are even more so. Thanks for such a great experience!

Our room was cozy and clean! We were able to walk to the beach, estuary and nearby state park from our room. There is also a fun bowling alley and pizza restaurant within walking distance as well as a bakery and coffee shop. A perfect fit for someone who wants to visit bustling Seaside, but stay somewhere much more peaceful and calm.

We made a mistake in booking the wrong date for our stay and did not realize until check-in. The customer service at the Drifthaven was impeccable. They were able to help us immediately and find us a room. There were so many great little touches to be enjoyed, many options for upgrades that would have been perfect to enjoy in the backyard area or cozied up in our room by the fireplace. Breakfast was delivered to our room in a picnic basket. Delicious local pastries and fruit were such a perfect complementary touch. I could not recommend a stay here more.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights and it was just the cutest and coziest room! It was within walking distance to the beach so that was a plus. They also had a complementary welcome cocktail, breakfast every morning delivered straight to your door, a garage full of lawn games and bicycles, and a lawn where guests can hang out. If you’re looking for a quiet and less-crowded neighborhood that’s still close to the beach, this is the place!

Everything about my trip to the Drifthaven was absolute perfection. Abby and the staff were so kind and very helpful. I highly highly recommend this hotel. The details and decorations make the place so welcoming and cozy, especially the fireplace. Abby upgraded us to the one bedroom suite from the king bed room, and it truly made our week. Thank you so much, we will be back!!

My friend and I stayed here together for a little weekend beach vacation. We were totally in love with this place. The room was comfortable, clean and so cute. The property was lovely with a beautiful yard to sit in. A little basket was brought to our door every morning with baked goods, fruit and orange juice. The neighborhood itself is very calm and quiet. In walking distance is a bakery, a coffee shop, a cafe, a wine bar and beach access to a quiet stretch of beach that does not have cars driving all over it. You are within a short drive of Seaside and Astoria - so you have access to everything those towns have to offer while having such a peaceful little hideaway to stay in. Don't sleep on this place! It's such a gem!

Such a cozy place to stay! We came here for a few nights this past week and loved it. The breakfast basket that they bring by every morning is so sweet!

My wife and I had a romantic time at cabin # 1. I could live in that sweet cabin with my bride for all of time. The fireplace, the corner Shower with the exceptionally hot water, the loft bedroom, the cozy livingroom. The perfect kitchen. We rode the provided bikes on the Beach and to dinner. Thank you.
